We are a group of charities in Cornwall which make a difference to people’s lives and the Duchy we live in. We care about the local communities we serve. We have created Leave A Gift To Cornwall so we can provide more information on how you can remember your favourite charity in your Will.
We are amazed at the generosity of people who donate to us. Many people do all sorts of things to raise money for our vital work, from cake sales to running marathons, and we are always very grateful for this. Interestingly, 74% of people in the UK donate to charity while they are alive, but only 7% of people leave a gift to charity in their Will.
In these tough economic times, charities rely more and more on legacy income to continue their work. Some people think they need to leave large sums to make it worthwhile but that’s not the case; we welcome any gift, large or small.
We hope that you might consider leaving a gift in your Will to a Cornish charity – although there is no obligation to do so. After taking care of your loved ones, please think about leaving a gift to charity. All legacies are important, regardless of size.
Many of our supporters who have already remembered us in their Will have told us that doing so makes them less worried about not being able to give more in their lifetime.
Leave A Gift To Cornwall has collected together information and resources to help you through the process of making a Will, information on how to make sure your gift benefits Cornwall and how to find a solicitor to help you through the legal process.
